In late April, I travelled to Ibiza with a Nikon Z6II and Z24-120 f/4 S. I knew the weather was going to be changeable and sunny only on the day I arrived, but nevertheless had high hopes that I would get a few good shots. After checking in at the hotel, I went on a walk along the beach and harbour and then with a group of colleagues through Ibiza’s old town. I couldn’t have asked for a better golden hour and sunset. All the colourful flowers, roofs, stairs, trees and of course the ocean made for some beautiful subjects.
After working for a couple of days and not taking any pictures, I had 1.5 days left, a rental car and some company. Unfortunately, the weather had gotten worse in the meantime, but we wouldn’t let that stop us. We started off by visiting Cala Blanca, followed by a short stay and lunch in Santa Eulà ria des Riu. We also managed to see several of Ibiza’s pirate towers, Es Culleram (a PhÅ“nician cave shrine that has become popular with hippies) and ended the day by watching the sunset at Es Vedrà , driving a total of 300km on an island that is only 570km^2 in total (about ten times the size of Manhattan).
In the morning of my final day in Ibiza, I managed to visit Cala Llentia. Despite rain and lots of clouds, it was still very worth the visit. Once again, Es Vedra made for a beautiful backdrop.
